Erin Tinney

An experienced publication designer, Erin Tinney served as graphic designer at Garbo Design House in Frederick for four years before joining the team at JPD in 2009. While with Garbo she worked on local and regional magazines, including the Frederick County Guide and most notably FiND iT FREDERiCK which she helped conceptualize, launch, and art directed.

Erin's skills are not limited to publication design. She has thoughtfully put her design talents to work on a full range of projects including corporate collateral, websites, and social media initiatives. Erin recognizes the importance of asking the right questions in order to understand each client's specific goals and challenges. Her work has garnered both local and national recognition.

A Frederick native, Erin is proud to call the downtown area her home. She is a graduate of Frederick Community College where she received Dean's honors while working on both her Associates of Fine Art and a Communication Graphics Certificate. Like many of the other staff at JPD, Erin gives her time back to the community. As an FCC alumni, she proudly served on the FCC Computer Graphics and Photography Advisory Board, as well as mentored in the Woman to Woman Mentoring program—providing young women with a supportive relationship that gives them the opportunity to learn, grow, and achieve personal success. In 2009, Erin received the 1st Annual Member Appreciation Award from the American Advertising Federation – Greater Frederick (AAF–GF) for her volunteer service as AAF–GF Student ADDY Competition Chair, as well as being a regular member of the AAF–GF’s ADDY Committee and Portfolio Bootcamp volunteer.
