Lisa Gorham
A native of Toronto, Canada, Lisa played an integral role in Ontario’s design community before moving to the United States in 2004. Her work before joining the JPD team in 2007 was primarily publication and print design focused.
Among many other projects, Lisa’s expertise in publication design is put to work at Jean Peterson Design producing Destination Frederick County, the official visitor guide of the county. Four of the last five years, the guide has been honored with the Maryland State Tourism Award for Best Visitor Guide. Additionally, Lisa’s work has garnered her many prestigious awards including, American Graphic Design Awards, Healthcare Advertising Awards, along with numerous ADDYs from the American Advertising Federation–Greater Frederick (AAF-GF). In 2010, Lisa along with her fellow Jean Peterson Design colleagues took home the AAF-GF’s Best of Show ADDY award for the Frederick County Public Libraries newsletter Bookmarks.
Giving back to the community is an important part of Lisa’s life. She has served on the AAF-GF board of directors as Treasurer, two-time ADDY Awards co-chair, Programs Director, as well as Public Service Director where she and her committee assisted several non-profit organizations, including: Tails of Hope Sanctuary, Mission of Mercy, AnySoldier.com, Team Hope for the Susan G. Komen Foundation, Hope Alive, and Heartly House. For her dedicated volunteer service to the club, Lisa was recognized with the Crystal Prism Award. Moreover, her work garnered national recognition from the AAF and the U.S. Army. Lisa is also a graduate of the Frederick Chamber of Commerce, Frederick County Leadership program.
